coffee art

This is my A0 group project for 2d fundamental. The group consists of  me, Maya, and Monica, which are all from Indonesia. Our theme is homesick , because we are kind of missing everything in our hometown. The pupil is made of photos of our memories .
At first, we wanted to edit the photo that we were going to attached for the pupil at photoshop to sephia but then the lecture suggested us to try using the media coffee instead of using photoshop for coloring the pupil. After fishing the pupil, we decided to make it monochrome.  What I found difficult in this was to darken the color. It needed to add on after it dried then added on again and again to get the darker color.

 

The gradient of the face, we used sponge to create the texture of the face

then for the teardrops we use sponge that is soaked with coffee and pressed the sponge by holding the A0 vertically up or down then absorbed the water with tissue.

The A0 still hasn't completed 100% we haven't done the pupil white ball reflection. Moreover, we still need to touch up the skin of the face which our lecture said it's like someone that has problem with his/her skin and still a lot of negative comment of our work. We still need to touch up

My birthday

I am grateful to have best friend that still care of me, although we rarely meet each other again.
here's cut of photo that I didn't notice at first. I wonder why this was the only picture that no me.
In fact, I was sitting on the bedroom watching smurf at that time.



at 0:00 , I was doing my assignment with my friends, one of my friend went to toilet. Yeah,i thought she was pooping, instead, she came back with cupcakes that have candles on them and a presents ,then, other who were pretending sitting and doing the assignment sang an uncomplete birthday song for me.

 

Curious of cupcakes, I search on internet cupcakes have a lot of taste, whether it is chocolate, vanilla,coffee, strawberry,lemon,etc.  Some of them are served with sugar icing /frosting, sprinkles,or any other decoration to make it attractive .
Definition from Wikipedia, "cupcake is a small cake designed to serve one person, which may be baked in a small thin paper . Cupcake also known as fairy cake  which is suitable for fairy party to  share together, In theory it might be for one person per cupcake, but I think usually most people will give people will have a bite then let others try it, so do I. after having a bite of the first cupcake that taste rum , I passed to my friends and so on to the next cupcakes. So ,one cupcake for four persons in my birthday. just like in fiction fairy cake to share each other
 
At night, when my laptop was  put on study room(outside my room) and I went down stairs to have my dinner with my friends. When I went back, look what I found:

reconstruction deconstruction

I bought a radio for my 3d fundamental assignment. The size was quite big with length around  40 cm. I thought how could I deconstruct and reconstruct this radio to something worth than this . At first I didn't want to use the cases because of its big  size. But then  I thought if I didn't use the case, then I didn't maximize what I've bought which kind of loss for me. Then I tried to constructed some characters. I choose making a character because if we like one of anime/cartoon character, we tended to collect the things related to it like. One of them was  toy.

The first one was kind like a barking dog head.

 

 

Second,  I would like to make a robot that had a smart characteristic like professor. So I made a hat for it and gave it a big eyes.

The third one was kind of the combination of frog and bird.

Lastly, I made a robot which mostly the head looked like stitch, while the body to leg kind like mickey mouse. Behind there was tail for it to.

I gave the name Thomson because the face already had THOMSON text from the radio brand.

Thomson is a energetic,clever and hardworking robot. He was a loyal toy, which will help and entertain the master in happy or sad.

 

 

 

 

 

 

restaurant interior

I went to crystal jade, bugis+, on Monday.  I loved crystal jade interior which used the color of blue and white representing the crystal color.  In addition, even their menu books used crystal shaped. What I liked the most was the crystals that were hanging on the ceilings. The size which was uneven  along the restaurant made it looked unique and not boring. When I was eating , I suddenly realized that the chair design was also like the crystal shaped.

Night festival (Singapore)

Last saturday, I went to Singapore night Festival with my friends. At there, there were acrobatic games  such as
I didn't take a photo of this, so I draw 

In this game, there's strip ,we should try to balance your body and walk till the finish.

While this one. we spinned the ball forward and backward. What made this beautiful was the lighting ball. When we spinned it gave a wonderful image. I succeeded trying this one :D

The third game that I saw was this!  I want to try it, but because my friend said it's too crowded and continue to watch another show

Again, light videos were projecting on the museum wall.It was wider compared to what I've seen before

At there we also watched a show, it's kind like a musical show wearing unique costume and  dance. It's such a great show with great lightning and they even spray bubbles

in the air above spectators for their endings. Everyone  was satisfied clapping after watching the show

At there seemed like their things were related to the night such moon,stars ,owl for the fan,etc

Cinderella

One of my favourite Walt Disney movies when I was in my childhood, "Cinderella" .
 This movie surely makes every people, especially girls want to be like her. Having a fairy godmother who change her to have a beautiful gown, ride a gorgeous horse carriage  and find a charming prince. I watched it again again and again, seemed like I'd never bored of that fairy tale.

I also had watched Cinderella 2 (Dreams come true) and 3 (Twist in Time). They all were also great. The second which told her life in the palace, prepared the night party ,festival , and also helped her stepsister,Anastasia, who fell in love.

 While the third one I like it because of everything was changed .A wonderful Cinderella became a pity Cinderella because of her stepmother and stepsisters who reversed the time. It was such a thrilling movie.

  Recently I have been hearing Disney's song , that's why I suddenly thought of writing Cinderella on this blog.

Activity

We were asked to  make  a marshmallow stand as high as possible. Teacher gave us a paper bag which inside consisted of spaghetti sticks, thread and masking tape. Unexpectedly, one of my group members suggested using the paper bag to make higher the marshmallow. At last, my group failed to stand the marshmallow. It bent when we didn't hold it.

Another games is making a monster costume in 45 min according to requirements. I was the one who became the monster. My friends try to make me to be the prettiest monster in the party. They put ribbons on my head ,neck and waist of the costume. The result was great. Every group has their own speciality.

 

 

From these 2 games, it increased our cooperation in group , let us thought something unusual (unique) , and maximized the material that was available for us.

These were some items that I found interesting during my going out time.

This glitter bag looked shimmering and it's seldom to see someone hanging this. Imagine that everyone has this bag with different colors and wear it at the same time. 

Well, another unique thing... the luggage with comics picture. It attracted me to read the comics on the luggage when I was waiting the traffic lamp.

Applying David Hockney joiners , also called as photocollages, which is snapping pictures of a single object from different angles then paste it to make a composite images.

Snapping sneakers from different angles just like the David Hockney joiners technique. Below is my photocollages which focusing on the sneakers and legs?. The reason I choose sneakers because this is one of my favorite shoes that I like to wear. 

Colors sensitivity

Colors control, sensitivity for my 2d assignment.Copying the color from that printed paper. What I learned from this was to find out colors that I need to mix ,how I controlled the percentage of the colors I mixed in order to get the good ones.

3d shape practice

This was what I did  for the student practice , topic: "planar to 3d " last Wednesday, at 3d fundamental class. From square to cube net to anything we wanted.

What I made was just a direct thought. What I thought at that time, I just stabbed and cut it on the cube with cutter. The result was... I guessed it's kind like mr. krab from spongebob?
