Cinderella

One of my favourite Walt Disney movies when I was in my childhood, "Cinderella" .
 This movie surely makes every people, especially girls want to be like her. Having a fairy godmother who change her to have a beautiful gown, ride a gorgeous horse carriage  and find a charming prince. I watched it again again and again, seemed like I'd never bored of that fairy tale.

I also had watched Cinderella 2 (Dreams come true) and 3 (Twist in Time). They all were also great. The second which told her life in the palace, prepared the night party ,festival , and also helped her stepsister,Anastasia, who fell in love.

 While the third one I like it because of everything was changed .A wonderful Cinderella became a pity Cinderella because of her stepmother and stepsisters who reversed the time. It was such a thrilling movie.

  Recently I have been hearing Disney's song , that's why I suddenly thought of writing Cinderella on this blog.

Activity

We were asked to  make  a marshmallow stand as high as possible. Teacher gave us a paper bag which inside consisted of spaghetti sticks, thread and masking tape. Unexpectedly, one of my group members suggested using the paper bag to make higher the marshmallow. At last, my group failed to stand the marshmallow. It bent when we didn't hold it.

Another games is making a monster costume in 45 min according to requirements. I was the one who became the monster. My friends try to make me to be the prettiest monster in the party. They put ribbons on my head ,neck and waist of the costume. The result was great. Every group has their own speciality.

 

 

From these 2 games, it increased our cooperation in group , let us thought something unusual (unique) , and maximized the material that was available for us.

These were some items that I found interesting during my going out time.

This glitter bag looked shimmering and it's seldom to see someone hanging this. Imagine that everyone has this bag with different colors and wear it at the same time. 

Well, another unique thing... the luggage with comics picture. It attracted me to read the comics on the luggage when I was waiting the traffic lamp.

Collage

Applying David Hockney joiners , also called as photocollages, which is snapping pictures of a single object from different angles then paste it to make a composite images.

Snapping sneakers from different angles just like the David Hockney joiners technique. Below is my photocollages which focusing on the sneakers and legs?. The reason I choose sneakers because this is one of my favorite shoes that I like to wear. 

Colors sensitivity

Colors control, sensitivity for my 2d assignment.Copying the color from that printed paper. What I learned from this was to find out colors that I need to mix ,how I controlled the percentage of the colors I mixed in order to get the good ones.

3d shape practice

This was what I did  for the student practice , topic: "planar to 3d " last Wednesday, at 3d fundamental class. From square to cube net to anything we wanted.

What I made was just a direct thought. What I thought at that time, I just stabbed and cut it on the cube with cutter. The result was... I guessed it's kind like mr. krab from spongebob? 

 

Brainstorming

Last Tuesday, we were asked for brainstorming with topic "How Do You?" .  My group consisted of 4 people. At first , we were quite close minded of our thinking and just telling out the normal "how".
For example: how to catch a crab? We gave idea like catch it with net.
 Kept saying that ones couldn't draw well. But as someone started saying " it's okay, just draw it  ". Slowly, our group started to pour what we thought and exchanged some opinions even out of the normal thinking. Ex: using girl crab doll to seduce the man crab, using wood to make swimsuit.
Our group's brainstorming paper mostly filled with drawings rather than texts . Luckily we didn't take pressure on this tasks , yet we had fun .

National Museum of Singapore (3)

These were what I saw at first in the "princely treasure". These planes seemed really real  like 3d subjects, didn't they?

Then after passing the planes, there were people who sat with castle-indoor background behind the table just like having a dinner 

I wonder what they're doing. It turned out that we could draw at here

Attracted by that, I tried to do a quick 5 minute sketch. 

Bread and spinach. Quite had fun trying this! Haha

There are no rules stated that a  table should have 4 feet , a chair should be from wood and able to let us to lay our back.

National Museum of Singapore (1)

I went to national museum of Singapore with friends. First, when we arrived there, the museum was full with Singapore flags.It was different from the picture that I google. Not weird ,as the national day is coming soon.
before entering the gallery, I saw the glasses at the hall. Those might be griya glasses .

When I entered the Singapore history gallery, I was amazed by the projector screens that were around me. Front, back, right,left were full of screens that introduced us more about Singapore.

yeah, there are no rules that say you should projected on flat screen

 

Besides on the screens , in other room, they projected it on the boxes .

 

drawing fundamental : line drawings

Tried using different kinds of lines with pencil in these sketches

Applied lines for movement drawings. I poured water on the left side of the witch to blend the sky color. But because my colored pencils weren't water soluble ones, it turned out not blended well. So I just poured the water half of my drawings..

injection pencil

First thing that I thought :Ready to scare some kids with this look alike injection mechanic pencil.

There's blue acid pretending it to inject one's body,which makes it like a real injection.
